MOEL SIABOD SCRAMBLE

Moel Siabod is a prominent mountain located in Snowdonia National Park in Wales. It rises to an elevation of 872 meters (2,858 feet) and is known for its striking profile and stunning views over the surrounding landscape, including the nearby peaks and valleys.

The scramble up Moel Siabod involves a mix of hiking and some lightweight scrambling, particularly on its upper section. This route typically starts from the car park near Siabod Café, and the ascent includes a well-marked path that gradually becomes steeper as it approaches the summit. As you ascend, you'll encounter rocky terrain and sections that require some handholds, making it a thrilling experience for those who enjoy scrambling. Once at the summit, we are rewarded with panoramic views of the Snowdonia range, including a clear sight of Snowdon itself on a good day. The area around Moel Siabod is often less crowded than some of the more popular peaks, allowing for a more tranquil experience in nature.
