ABOUT US

OUR STORY
Tony Lowe (Owner)
I have been hiking for over 30 years, my love first started in the British Army as a young 17Yr old and my experience includes Scotland, Snowdonia and the Lake District. From this I went on to qualify as a Summer Mountain Leader and form Tony Lowe Mountaineering guiding services to share my passion and love for the outdoors and helping people experience our beautiful Mountains.
I am a member of the British Mountaineering Council and Mountain Training Association. I also volunteer in my spare time for Cheshire Lowland Search and Rescue.
I offer guided tours of all parts of the UK, including all the major peaks like Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis. If there is something in particular that you have in mind, please contact me and I will organise a bespoke trip to the mountains to suit your requirements.

Our Mountain Leaders
A short introduction to some of the Mountain Leaders who work for Tony Lowe Mountaineering throughout the year

Roger Hanmer

I'm 54 Living in North Wales. I Passed my Mountain Leader training so I could share the joy of the hills with others.
I've guided multiple ascents of all the Welsh 3000's, all over the Lake District and Munro's in Scotland.
Help guide groups of up to 60 people on. Many charity events
I also work on DofE in Bannau Brycheiniog,
The North and South Downs.
I Have Alpine Experience in Switzerland with 4 4000m summits on my list

Bryonry Catlow
One of my passions is trail running, and I have competed in many regional events ranging from 10k delights, to the Lakeland Trails 110k Ultra (lost a few toenails on that one, but I took solace in being placed 14th in the women's category that year!) I love being in the mountains, and I love the peaceful form of adrenalin that you can only find on the fells. It is a joy being able to invite people to enjoy these spaces with me - whether that's trail running or just a relaxed leisurely hike - and my goal is to give everyone a great experience, even in some of the more ‘challenging’ Lake District weather. Most importantly, I know all the best coffee shops in Cumbria - it is a well known fact (maybe) that you can't beat ending the day with a well earned coffee and a lump of cake!

David Slater
